Just writing to let you all know that Kelly and I have had a banner day today. We officially closed on our new house at 3325 Rivera Street in the Sunset District, just 4 blocks from the ocean!
We won't be moving in for another month or so since the sellers need time to finish their purchase elsewhere, but we're super excited nonetheless. This is the first time I've owned a home!
Also, after nearly 7 years together, Kelly and I registered today as Domestic Partners, which will afford us the same rights, responsibilities, and protections as married couples in the state of California. It's a very important step in establishing our ability to take care of one another and our estate in the eyes of California law.
