Friday's Dinner

Made burgers. Okay, but not my best efforts.

Dad and Shirley are doing okay. Shirley has been in bed since we got home and Dad's vision is making him nauseous when he walks around. I hope it clears up but we have no idea if it will. Fun times.

So I'm not even sure how to tell this story...after Dad and Shirley got home last night, Sister Kathy went to Rite-Aid to fill all of their prescriptions. One of which is 4 injections of the blood thinner. Two for Dad and two for Shirley. We have to take the shots and the parents back to the hospital so they can administer the shots.

So, we had a 9:30 appointment to do that this morning. We get there and hand the nurse the shots and she says she can't take them because she can't take medication from a patient. She tells us she needs to put the order in for the injections. About then, this nurse guy shows up and asks why we just don't give them the shots at home. We said we would but the nurse told us yesterday if we did, the shots wouldn't be covered by Medicare. He asked us where we got the shots. Told him from Rite-Aid. He asked if we paid for them. We said yes. He said it just wasn't logical that if we paid for them already and it was covered by insurance why don't we just do it. I told him that we are very logical people but there is nothing logical about this hospital or the information we've been getting. I guess they felt sorry for us and did us a favor and showed us how to do the injection. I gave them their injection there and off we went. Tomorrow, I get to give it to them again. Yeah!

Today is a rest day.

I miss mi familia something awful.

Bye bye.
