Sunday's Dinner

Since we spent most of the day house-hunting and then hanging out at the Stray Bar in Bernal Heights, we didn't feel much like cooking. So, we had a Ploughman's Lunch. Used to be very popular in England when the menfolk were out ploughing the fields. It's pretty much cheese and veggies with some bread and Branston Pickles. I bet you want to know what a Branston Pickle is, don't you? Let me tell you...Branston Pickle is made from a variety of diced vegetables, including swede, carrots, onions, cauliflower and gherkins pickled in a sauce made from vinegar, tomato, apple and dates with spices such as mustard, coriander, garlic, cinnamon, pepper, cloves, nutmeg and cayenne pepper with sugar. Poppy and I usually have crackers, cheese, Claussen Pickles and anything else I can find laying around that can go on a cracker, along with the Branston Pickle. NOM!!

Oh, we found a flat in the Mission that we're going to buy. I'm going to pretend our offer will be accepted...once we put one in cause we both want this place bad!! Oddly enough, it's right next door to our co-worker, Rob. I took that as a good sign that this is the one we've been waiting for.

bye bye!
