Let's go bowling...AGAIN!

Yeah, I'll get to that later.

Last week, I wanted to make a horseradish sauce from scratch, but before I did that, I needed to make the mayo from scratch. The mayo turned out great. The Horsey-Sauce even better. I told Friend-Drea about it and she said that Horsey-Sauce was one of her husband's favorite things. So I gave her some. They had it on tomatoes:

She said it was "NOM" and that makes me happy!

Not only is it a Dad's weekend, but today, I picked up Dexter McLovin. He's staying the night while Seester and Bro-N-Law go to a wedding...in Lodi! Our Dexter McLovin has been having some back issues. A month ago, he could barely walk; but, with the help of some steroids and some other meds, he's almost good as new! I love him!!

I wish my bed was so comfy!

Yesterday, we packed some lunch and headed down to one of Stanford University's athletic fields to watch Nephew-Lucas' Polar Bear Team play some Ultimate Frisbee...RAWR!! Lucas and his team are in the sectionals. They did very well. Up next, regionals in Seattle. Do well there and their off to Florida for Nationals, which they won last year! RAWR!!

Dad was itching to go...can you tell?

Here's the Polar Bears. Lucas is #35...RAWR!!

Here's Lucas stretching his now 50 year old knees:

Here's Sun-Luvin-Jax:

So after we were done watching Nephew-Lucas...RAWR!!, we headed home stopping at the store to get fixings for our Bockwurst-Sausage-Sauerkraut-Applesauce-Extravaganza dinnah.

I made the apple sauce from scratch using my Stevia sweeter. NOM! Even my Worse-Food-Critic-Poppy and Double-Worse-Food-Critic-Dad like it!

Here's the dinnah that I forgot to take a picture of. I had three different dipping sauces for my bockwurst; my homemade Horsey-Sauce German mustard and a horseradish Dijon mustard. INFINITY NOM!

Okay, so since we didn't get to go bowling the other night, I promised Dad that we'd go today. So, he was raring to go and we hit Seabowl at 10:15am. We tell Mr. Bowling-Guy we want to bowl a few games. He says we can rent the lane by the half-hour, so we rented an hour to the tune of $33!!! Mr. Bowling-Guy says that there is a birthday party and that there will be music and lights. Honey-Badger don't care; Honey-Badger just wants to go bowling!

Go to Youtube and search Honey Badger - Randall; freakin hysterical!

So we get our lane; get halfway through the first game and all the lights go out. They're replaced by black lights. Then, on each side of all the lanes these flashing running lights go on...then a mirror ball right above our lane goes on. Not sure, but I think I'm about to have some weird flashing light-induced seizure. Also, Dad had that Aneurysm those years back and can't stand flashing lights, not to mention he has a hard enough time seeing the lanes in regular light and now it's dark. WTF?

Well, we made it through three games and much to our disappointment, neither one of us got a 300!

Back at Kasa Kecky's...One of the many things I wanted to do this weekend, besides my usual four loads of laundry, was to make Jax's Peanut Butter Cookies. Now, the only problem with this is that it's baking and you know I suck at baking. So here's the recipe:

Jax’s Peanut Butter Cookies

½ cups water (add more water later, if necessary)
½ cup oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
½ cup Polenta or cornmeal
½ cup oat
½ tsp wheat germ

Blend wet ingredients together. Whisk dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Roll out and shape. Put on lightly greased sheet pan. Cook 20 minutes at 400 F. Turn off oven and allow the cookies to cool in oven until crisp and hard. I'm going to keep them in the fridge so they'll stay longer.

Seems easy enough, right? Here are what I'm calling "Jax's Rabid Cookies".

Okay, so after they settled down, they looked like normal doggie cookies; Jax and Dexter McLovin loved them!

Tonight...TACO NIGHT!!!

Have a good week!

  2. Well, you could eat them, but I don't think they'd be that good.
